Meeting and Fiber Event Calendar

Most meetings are held at the 

South Valleys Library,  15650 Wedge Parkway, Reno

All public meetings are open to non-members, so if you have an interest in weaving or spinning we welcome you to join us.

Our regular guild meetings are held from Sept. through May.  Check this event calendar for the dates and locations of the meetings.

Sage Weavers is a discussion group in which we show our work, ask and answer weaving questions.  Beginning weavers are always welcome.

High Flyers is a spinner's gathering and is a socially oriented get-together.  If you spin, bring your wheel, drop spindle or charka.  New spinners are always welcome and we will be glad to mentor you on a wheel or drop spindle. You may also bring your knitting, hemming projects, rigid heddle etc. or simply come to watch.  All are welcome.

2024 Event & Meeting Schedule

This year's theme is 4 shaft weaving & color!  

April 22 11AM to 1PM  High Flyers Spinner's Gathering at the South Valleys Library. This month there will be a  warped, four shaft loom available for people to try out.  Someone will be available to help beginner's get started.  There will also be handspinners there, so if spinning is something that interests you, please join to watch or to try your hand at it.

May 4 11AM  Annual chocolate meeting at guild member's home. Vote for next year's Board members.  Details will be in the May newsletter.

May 21 1PM to 3PM  Sage Weavers at the South Valleys Library.  Bring your weaving "show and tell" and questions you may have about weaving, tips for finishing, etc.  This meeting is all about weaving in all of its forms.  Beginners and non-members are welcome.
